Re: My finds
I would have loved to have been there with you. We have nothing like that here in Ca. The best we can find is 7MYA bivalves. There have been dino bones found, but that is rare. I do think there is a place in Utah with similar finds as you have. Really cool.
Re: My finds
The lucky people who search sites nearby to where I searched have found the bones of Ichthyosaurs and Plesiosaurs, though not complete fossils.
Re: My finds
Wow! your finds tell how passionate you are for geology. How I wish that the biology majors here would have the same character and determination. They used to go out and explore as well; but there is something missing on them.
Re: My finds
When I was looking for these the weather conditions were ok, it was dry and warm in the sun but there was a cold wind.
Any normal person would have decided not to hunt that day but I continued because I knew that was the best weather I was likely to get this time of the year by the coast.
I was never the only person looking for fossils either, one day further up the beach was a qualified geologist or at least that is what I presume.

Re: My finds
I'm sure that it was truly a nice weather by that time. I knew how does that dry and warm in the sun and cold wind feels like, really good to explore and look for specimens. Awesome!
