Ok just guess what gemstone, mineral or fossil has been posted in the picture below. The person who guesses gets to do the next one.
Thats a good one. Hmmm, green is copper, red looks like maybe cinnabar, Gee, I think I need a hint.
It is used in jewellery.
Is it pyrope garnet?
No it isn't.
It also has industrial uses.
Is it corundum (Ruby)?
It is Ruby.

Ok here is a good one.
It looks like Kyanite.
Nope.
Hint: It is Felsic.
Then it is probably sodalite.
Good guess but sodalite is a Feldspathoid, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feldspathoid. The mystery rock is a feldspar. It is very well known for its high degree of iridescence.
So now what happens?
Someone still has to guess what the rock is. I just gave hints.
I've reached my limit. Looks like I need a better book of minerals
