Is that it about the moving rocks? That will be something for me to study if I go on a field trip to Death Valley.
I'll see if I have any time to look up some of those theories this weekend.

Someone needs to put a GPS unit with a data transmitter or data logger on one of these rocks. Maybe a GPS with other sensors like wind speed, moisture etc. Why? Because we just want to know.
Other questions to ponder. Is it a specific type of rock? Specific shape?
